Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver specific aspects of patient care under supervision. You will perform personal care tasks, observe patient conditions, and report changes to the supervising nurse in an inpatient hospice setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma and CNA registration. One year of experience preferred; enrollment in an accredited nursing program acceptable in lieu of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience required; enrollment in an accredited nursing program accepted in lieu of experience.
• Hospice experience preferred and prior experience with dying patients.
• Current Maryland CNA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, hygiene, feeding, and linen changes.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and basic mobility as directed.
• Monitor and report patient condition to supervisor nurse.
• Maintain patient room cleanliness and safety; operate basic care equipment.
• Support patient comfort and dignity, including responding promptly to requests.
