Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Hospice Aide to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, feeding, and daily living activities, while ensuring safety and comfort for patients in hospice care.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and current Maryland CNA registration, plus prior experience in acute or home care settings.

Qualifications

Experience: Prior work in acute care or home care settings.

Responsibilities

Performs personal care such as baths, grooming, oral hygiene, and feeding assistance.
Assists with bedpan/urinal use and linen changes; helps with dressing and undressing.
Monitors patient safety; uses equipment properly (foot stools, side rails, O2).
Plans and assists with nutritious meals; may shop for supplies as assigned.
Records vital signs and reports changes to supervising nurse.
Provides skin care and prevents tissue breakdown; maintains clean, orderly living area.
Assists with ambulation and exercises as directed by nurse/therapist.
Provides respite for patient, family, or caregiver when on-site as appropriate.
