Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification and Maryland registration required.
• Heart Saver (CPR) certification required.
• At least 6 months experience in direct patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides for care, comfort, and safety of assigned patients under direct supervision of a nurse.
• Performs and records delegated nursing care procedures.
• Observes patients and reports reactions or changes in condition to appropriate nursing personnel.
• Assists patients with basic activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, etc.).
• Assists in patient mobility and turning, as needed.
• Transfers/ transports medications from one area to another as needed.
• Distributes patient trays and nourishments, fills water pitchers, and assists with feeding when necessary.
