Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Hospice Aide to assist in delivering patient care under RN supervision. This role follows the Hospice Aide Plan of Care and focuses on comfort, safety and dignity for patients in a variety of settings.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or GED and a current Maryland CNA registration, with reliable driving and a clean record. Prior experience in acute or home care helps, along with strong communication and compassionate skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
• Experience in acute care or home care settings preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to nurse supervisor.
• Escort and assist with mobility and transfers as directed.
• Maintain clean, safe patient living areas and equipment.
• Document care activities using electronic health records.
• Provide respite support to patients and families when on-site.
