Job summary

Affinity Health Management is seeking a hospice aide to work under the supervision of a registered nurse, providing compassionate personal care according to each patient’s plan of care. You will report observations and help promote comfort and safety for individuals at the end of life.

You will perform tasks such as bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and light housekeeping while maintaining professional communication with patients, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved certified nursing assistant course or equivalent training.
• Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC).
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification (hands-on skills).
• Current Food Handlers Permit.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and attend to patient requests promptly.
• Maintain positive communication with patient and family while upholding confidentiality.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility as assigned.
• Support dressing, undressing, and transfers.
• Assist with feeding; not providing homemade food.
