Job summary

Valor Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide to support patient care at home in the Houston area. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to assist with daily activities and provide compassionate, respectful care in the patient’s residence.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, completion of approved aide training, a current driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Prior hospice or nursing assistant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Completion of aide training/competency evaluation programs.
• Current state nurse aide registry listing or equivalent licensure.
• Valid driver’s license required to travel to patient homes.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assists patient with transfers and ambulation per Hospice policy.
• Reports changes and documents care rendered for continuity of care.
• Maintains infection control; keeps environment clean and safe.
