Job summary

Valor-Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse in patients' homes. You will assist with transfers, personal care, and daily activities while ensuring comfort and safety.

The role requires reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, and completion of an aide competency evaluation. CNA/CHHA training is preferred for candidates with prior home health experience.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and verbally report clinical information accurately.
• One year hospice or healthcare experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license required.
• Aide Competency Evaluation per §418.76 must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN.
• Assist patients with transfers, ambulation, and activities of daily living.
• Report changes and document care to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment.
