Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Hospice Aide to deliver specific patient care aspects under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Care needs and visit frequency are guided by the Hospice Aide Plan of Care. Required: High School Diploma or GED and current Maryland CNA registration.

A valid driver’s license with a properly insured vehicle is also required. Prior experience in acute care or home care is preferred, with strong communication and empathetic patient care as core

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Current Maryland CNA registration is required.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle per organization requirements.
• Experience in acute care or home care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, dressing, feeding, and comfort measures.
• Observe and report patient condition changes to supervising nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as directed.
• Ensure patient safety and proper use of equipment (rails, O2, etc.).
• Maintain clean, orderly patient environment and assist with light housekeeping as needed.
