Qualifications

• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Ability to manage issues related to death/dying.

• Ability to demonstrate empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired.
• Competent to safely handle medications.

Responsibilities

• Attend to patient/family requests promptly; assist with bedpans and hygiene; assist with feeding and dressing.
• Ensure safety and proper use of medical equipment as directed.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals as assigned.
• Record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered.
• Monitor skin integrity to prevent tissue breakdown.
• Report patient condition changes to supervising nurse.
