Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitation services in home care settings under supervision. You will follow plans of care, document patient responses, and support family education while upholding state laws and NBCOT standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold OT Assistant licensure in the state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• Preferred: CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrate good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state laws governing occupational therapy in home care, per the supervising OT’s treatment plan.
• Follow the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment within scope.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and changes to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other health-care team members in therapy within scope.
• Function in diverse home environments and uphold equity in care regardless of patient background.
