Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide occupational therapy in a home care setting, following the supervising OT's plan of care and state laws. You will support patients, families, and the health team in evidence-based therapy across diverse home environments.

Requirements include current OTA licensure in the practicing state, valid driver's license or access to transportation, and strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all state laws governing occupational therapy in home care and the plan of care defined by the supervising OT.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the OTA and state laws.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and health team members in therapy within the OTA scope.
• Function in diverse home situations respecting all individuals' backgrounds.
