Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to assist patients in daily living and personal care in their homes, following an established care plan. Responsibilities include baths, feeding, safety, and reporting changes to a supervising nurse.

Requirements include state/federal training where applicable, CPR certification, and completion of Maxim assessments and competency programs. Part-time with flexible hours and a competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with plan of care including baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered
• Safe transfer and ambulation; assist with exercise per care plan
• Perform ROM and simple procedures as ordered
• Handle patient laundry
• Ensure patient safety and proper use of equipment
• Observe and document conditions and report changes to nurse
• Communicate clearly with client, family, and office
• Follow plan of care and complete assigned tasks
• Observe safety practices at home and educate patients
