Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to assist patients in their homes per an established care plan. The role focuses on daily living and personal care, with duties ranging from bathing and dressing to meal assistance and safety monitoring.

Applicants should have CPR certification and pass Maxim’s competency program requirements. We offer flexible, part-time hours and a competitive pay rate, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification.
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living per care plan (baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding).
• Record vital signs as ordered and report changes to nurse supervisor.
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and range of motion exercises.
• Provide light housework related to patient care and laundry as needed.
• Observe safety practices and educate patients/families on home safety.
• Communicate clearly with client, family, and office; document and report patient status.
• Follow the plan of care and complete all assigned tasks.
