Job summary

Nurse Next Door in California is seeking compassionate home care aides to support seniors in their homes, helping them stay independent and maintain quality of life. Qualifications

18 years of age or older.
Registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry.
Criminal background check completed.
Evidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training.
Evidence of tuberculosis testing.
Ability to read and follow written instructions.
Self-direction with minimal supervision.
Empathy for the needs of the ill and elderly.
Good personal hygiene and tact.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Follow the client’s care plan and assist with activities of daily living.
Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
Help with transfers and mobility as needed.
Meal planning and basic preparation according to dietary needs.
Provide companionship and perform light housekeeping and transportation.
Remind and assist with medications as directed.

Education

High school graduate or enrolled in vocational education program
