Job summary

Nurse Next Door seeks compassionate home care aides to provide nonmedical services to seniors in their homes in California. The role emphasizes respect, safety, and companionship with flexible shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

A Home care aide will follow care plans, assist with ADLs, manage basic tasks, drive to appointments, and maintain records. Candidates must be at least 18, have CA HCA Registry registration, and pass background checks; paid training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry.
• Criminal background check completed and disclosed.
• Evidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.

Responsibilities

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) within CA regulations.
• Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands; record hours accurately.
• Provide companionship and perform light household tasks as needed.
• Report changes in client condition to supervisor and complete service records.
