Job summary

Nurse Next Door San Mateo is hiring compassionate home care aides to support seniors at home through flexible, part-time and full-time shifts. No prior experience is required; paid training and assistance with CA registration are provided.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship in clients' homes across California. Applicants must be at least 18, have CA Home Care Aide Registry registration or plan to obtain it, pass a background

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or higher with appropriate education
• Current registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry
• Completion of a background check and disclosure of any offenses
• Evidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training per CA rules
• TB testing and verification of no active tuberculosis
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care

Responsibilities

• Follow the client's care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Assist with activities of daily living within scope of practice
• Help with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and ambulation as needed
• Support prescribed exercises taught by health professionals
• Plan and assist with meals and accommodate therapeutic diets
• Assist with bathroom needs and incontinence care
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and companionship
• Remind clients about medications and document appropriately
• Report changes to the administrator or care designer
• Accurately record hours worked and driving to appointments
• Remain alert and seek guidance when needed and complete required trainings
