Job summary

Nurse Next Door is hiring Home Care Aides in California to provide compassionate, nonmedical support to seniors in their homes. No experience required. We offer paid training and help with CA registration to start your caregiving career.

Shifts range from 10 to 40 hours per week with morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight options. You will assist with ADLs, meals, transportation, and companionship, while maintaining client dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Current registration with the CA Home Care Aide Registry. Paid training offered to help with registration.
• Criminal background check and disclosure of any history.
• Evidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training per CA regulations.
• Evidence of TB testing and no active TB.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.

Responsibilities

• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Assist with ADLs within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide.
• Assist with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing and dressing.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and ambulation.
• Record hours accurately and report changes in client condition to the administrator.
