Job summary

Ambercare – an Addus family company is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and disabled clients living at home. The Home Care Aide - Core provides essential daily assistance, follows care plans, and helps maintain client independence in a home setting.

The role is on call for 5 days per week with a weekend day included, totaling 40 hours per week (20 hours guaranteed). A background check is required, and reliable transportation is needed for client visits across

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications as directed.
• Follow care plans and report changes in the client's condition.
• Call in each morning for assignments and remain on call for 24-hour shifts.
