Job summary

Ambercare – an Addus family company urgently seeks Flex Home Care Aides to support seniors and people with disabilities living at home. The Home Care Aide - Core is on call 5 days a week, 40 hours (20 guaranteed), with at least one weekend day.

Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meals, errands, and observing client changes. Applicants must be 18+, pass a criminal background check, and have reliable transportation.duties require adherence to care plans and on-call

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; if by car, valid license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with the desire to care for others.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• On-call for 24-hour shifts; 5 days per week with weekend day.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans for clients and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, dressing).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctor's appointments, grocery and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
