Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Sales Trainee to learn the funeral services industry, products, and financing options, while using CRM and proprietary contracting software. You will meet with client families, present solutions, and help drive revenue in a technology-rich environment.

The role requires building relationships, managing leads, and supporting pre-need and at-need sales with a focus on compassionate, loss-aware service. Houston, TX area.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; License: ability to obtain/maintain insurance license as required.
• Experience: sales or customer experience preferred; CRM experience preferred.
• Skills: proficient MS Office; strong communication and professional demeanor; bilingual helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop trusting relationships with prospective and existing client families to generate sales leads.
• Input prospective client information in CRM system.
• Contact prospective clients and schedule appointments including evenings/weekends.
• Assist clients through pre-planning process and select services to meet needs.
• Show property/features to families for pre-need and at-need sales.
• Explain insurance product features and complete contracts accurately.
• Use CRM to source leads and build sales pipeline.
• Collaborate with Funeral Director and family on sales.
• Coordinate with team and other departments; seek coaching to improve sales cycle and product knowledge.
