Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations, greet families, answer questions, and help with services and ceremonies.

You will handle documents, assist with visitations, set up decor, transport families, drive vehicles as needed, and ensure smooth operations while upholding compassion and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services: set up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos.
• Prepare documents for services and cremations as directed by management.
• Assist with remains preparation and cremation duties as permitted by law.
• Answer phones, greet clients, and provide information at the office.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family transport.
• Assist with visitations, chapel setup, and transportation needs.
• Ensure refreshments are available and support service logistics.
