Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services, including delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and other keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance, as directed by management.
• Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, or operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties such as answering phones, operating fax, computer, multiline phone system, and other equipment.
• Run errands for floral delivery, supplies, documents, etc.
• Serves as an usher and may park cars or perform transportation duties.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where permitted by law.
• Assist with visitations, memorial and funeral services; set up and decorations as needed.
