Job summary

Service Corporation International seeks a Funeral Services Assistant to support funeral operations, greet families, and assist with services and ceremonies. You will prepare remains and supplies, handle documents, and perform office duties with a compassionate, team-focused approach.

The role requires client-facing communication, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with MS Office and office systems. This is a full-time position based in Knoxville, TN, with on-site duties and occasional

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.
Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

Prepares for services, delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns and keepsakes for client families.
Prepares documents related to services, cremations and maintenance as directed by management.
Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, or crematory operation as permitted by law.
Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multiline phone system and related devices.
Run errands for floral deliveries and supplies; assist on services and ceremonies.
Greet families and visitors; provide information and assistance at the office; usher and transportation duties as needed.
