Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and practical support for funeral operations. You will greet families, answer questions, and assist on services while upholding our values and policies.

Key tasks include preparing service setups, handling documents, assisting with remains, and coordinating with funeral home staff. A high school diploma and customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos, and keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services and cremations as directed by management.
• Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing, lifting, or crematory operations as allowed by law.
• Performs office duties such as answering phones, operating a multiline phone system, and other clerical tasks.
• Run errands for floral deliveries and supplies; assist with visitations and funeral services.
