• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage of items.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, and maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains and may operate crematory as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: answering phones, operating fax, computer systems, debit machines, etc.
• Runs errands for supplies and deliveries.
• Serves as an usher and may park cars or handle transportation needs.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials and funeral services; setting up and dressing remains.
• Greets clients and provides information to visitors.
• Supports family needs during services and visitations.
