Job summary

YAI is seeking staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a respectful, patient, and safety-focused environment. You will provide direct support, follow person-centered plans, document activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote quality of life and community integration.

Responsibilities include data collection, behavior support implementation, and participation in team meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet essential physical demands including lifting, standing, walking and assisting with transfers as needed.
• Effective written and oral communication skills for documentation and billing purposes.
• Enthusiasm for working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Responsibilities

• Assists individuals in maximizing their strengths, interests and abilities while upholding personal rights.
• Supports people to meet personal quality of life goals and encourages social connections.
• Ensures health, safety and crisis management per program guidelines and regulations.
• Maintains a clean, safe and organized therapeutic environment and follows infection control protocols.
• Utilizes person-centered plans, behavior support plans and BSPs to guide supports.
• Completes required trainings and documentation, including logs, progress notes and billing information.
