Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living, community participation, and safety.

You will implement person-centered plans, assist with ADLs, monitor health and behavior, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and quality of life in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or its educational equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with individuals with I/DD in a high-energy environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with health records systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs and personal care.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor safety and health of individuals at all times.
• Document services and progress in electronic health records.
• Transport and accompany individuals to activities and appointments.
