Job summary

YAI Network is seeking dedicated direct support professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in maximizing independence and social connections. You will provide personal care, support daily living activities, and implement behavior support plans in collaboration with a clinical team.

This role requires strong communication, patience, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet essential physical demands including lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Effective written and oral communication for billing/tracking.
• Enthusiasm for working with people with I/DD with empathy and compassion.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and exposure to bodily fluids.
• Basic computer skills and Workday/DA familiarity.
• SCIP-R within one year of appointment.
• AMAP/CPR and other certifications within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assists individuals to maximize strengths and build relationships.
• Supports meeting personal goals and quality of life.
• Supervises and protects individuals per program guidelines.
• Implements Behavior Support Plans and collects data.
• Completes trainings and maintains certifications per YAI policies.
• Reviews logs and documents for billing and compliance.
• Operates with person-centered planning and crisis intervention as needed.
• Provides coverage at other locations as required.
