Job summary

YAI is seeking compassionate direct support professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will provide personal care, support ADLs, and help participants engage in social and community activities.

You will document services, monitor health and safety, and implement behavior support plans under BIS guidance, while maintaining respectful communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to meet essential physical demands.
• HS diploma or equivalent; experience supporting people with I/DD is a plus.
• Willingness to work in a high-energy environment and adhere to HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with ADLs and daily living activities.
• Ensure health, safety, and supervision; follow behavior support plans.
• Support communication, socialization, and community activities.
• Document services accurately for billing and records; escalate concerns per policy.
• Assist with medication administration according to guidelines; operate within crisis protocols.
