Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and mental health support needs. You will provide ADL assistance, help with life skills, and support participation in community activities.

The role includes medication administration after training, documentation in the EHR, meal prep, and ensuring safety and privacy while promoting independence. A driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must pass all background checks.
• Must pass health TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) based on individual needs.
• Administer prescribed medications upon completion of training.
• Safely transport individuals in company vehicles for community integration.
• Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) timely.
• Prepare meals and snacks as provided by the individual/family.
• Assist individuals with goals in the individualized support plan.
• Engage with individuals in the day program and community.
• Uphold and advocate for individual rights.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and privacy of information.
• Adhere to company policies and values to foster a professional environment.
• Maintain health and safety of all individuals and promote independence.
• Establish professional boundaries in all interactions.
• Ensure facility cleanliness and report maintenance concerns.
• Proficient with technology; stay awake and alert during shifts.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting and transfers.
• Other duties as assigned.
