Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily supportive care in a compassionate environment. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team focusing on resident-directed care, maintain comfort, and assist with activities of daily living per scope of practice.

Responsibilities include reporting observations to nurses, aiding in meals, and documenting care in records while maintaining safety and respect for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in MO or IL (or enrollment readiness).
• PA registry enrollment eligibility within 120 days of program completion.
• Ability to communicate with residents and family members clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort and provides ADL care per scope of practice; answers call lights.
• Supports dignity by encouraging self-care and independence.
• Observes residents and reports changes to the nurse.
• Participates in care/service plans to improve residents’ lives.
• Assists with mealtime and feeding as needed.
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families with compassion.
• Supports resident involvement in daily activity decisions.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed staff.
• Documents care provided in clinical records.
• Keeps a clean, safe environment.
