Qualifications

• Missouri: Current CNA certification
• Illinois: Current CNA certification
• Pennsylvania: Enrollment/eligibility for PA nurse aide registry within 120 days
• A desire to be part of a person-centered care team
• Must be able to communicate with residents
• Prior experience with direct patient/resident care preferable

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort; provides personal care according to scope of practice and reports observations to the nurse.
• Supports residents’ personal care needs; promotes independence and dignity.
• Observes changing needs and reports to the nurse promptly.
• Participates in residents’ care/service plans to improve life quality.
• Assists during meals and feeds residents needing full assistance.
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families with compassion.
• Encourages resident involvement in daily activity decisions and assists as needed.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed staff direction.
• Documents care provided in clinical records.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
