Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide daily supportive care to residents in a compassionate environment. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, supporting residents to direct their own care and participating in care plans.

You will assist with ADLs, meals, and therapies under licensed supervision, documenting care, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Missouri: Current CNA certification.
• Illinois: Current CNA certification.
• Pennsylvania: Enrollment, or eligibility for enrollment within 120 days of completion of the training program, on the PA nurse aide registry.
• Desire to be part of a person-centered care team.
• Ability to communicate with residents.
• Prior direct patient/resident care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains residents’ comfort and provides ADL care per scope of practice; responds to calls.
• Supports personal care needs and maintains residents’ dignity.
• Observes residents and reports changes to the nurse.
• Participates in care/service plans to improve residents’ lives.
• Assists during mealtimes and feeds those needing full assistance.
• Builds meaningful relationships with residents and families with compassion.
• Supports resident involvement in daily activity decisions.
• Assists with therapies and treatments under licensed staff direction.
• Documents care provided in clinical records.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
