Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Texas CNA license
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience in CNA program
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, and staff
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Must be in good general health and emotionally stable

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures
• Make resident rounds at the start of each shift and every two hours
• Verify resident identification before care or meals
• Report missing ID bands to admissions coordinator immediately
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned and filled within the resident's reach
• Other duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator
