Job summary

Rockwall Wellness and Rehab is seeking a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. The role emphasizes resident safety, accurate identification, and compassionate support for ill and elderly residents.

Responsibilities include rounds, feeding, basic care, and adherence to facility policies, with a focus on teamwork and emotional stability in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Texas.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience during training.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Good health and emotional stability.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly residents and those in distress.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours for quality care.
• Verify resident ID before care or meals to ensure correct recipient.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled and reachable.
• Other related duties as directed by Charge Nurse or Administrator.
