Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine care under the direction of Charge Nurse and RN Supervisor in a Los Angeles facility. The role emphasizes high-quality resident care and compassionate interaction with residents, families, and staff.

The ideal candidate is CN A-licensed or enrolled in a nursing assistant program with at least 6 months of CNA experience or clinical training.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a nursing assistant program or hold a CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during training.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Patience, tact, and cheerful disposition; engage with residents appropriately.
• In good general health with emotional stability.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Make beds and clean bedside tables.
• Serve water and assist with meals and feeding.
• Dress residents and assist with dressing.
• Transport residents to therapy, activities, and appointments.
• Keep incontinent residents clean and dry; change linens and clothing as needed.
• Respond to nurse calls promptly and report issues to Charge Nurse.
