Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a dedicated nursing assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. The role emphasizes resident safety, accurate ID verification, and compassionate interactions with ill and elderly residents in a facility setting.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA license, has at least 6 months of CNA-related experience or clinical training, and demonstrates empathy, reliability, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Must have a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• Minimum of 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during certification class.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, family, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact and cheerful disposition, and handle residents appropriately.
• Must be in good general health and emotionally stable.
• Must relate to ill, disabled, elderly and sometimes hostile individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per established policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer care.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admissions.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled and reachable.
• Other related duties as directed by supervisors.
