Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision, ensuring high-quality resident care in accordance with policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have a valid CNA license, at least 6 months of CNA experience or clinical training, and strong communication skills in English. We value empathy, teamwork, and the ability to work with ill and elderly residents in a compassionate setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CNA license.
• At least 6 months of CNA experience or clinical training during CNA coursework.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Must be in good health and emotionally stable.
• Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies, procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to administer quality care.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to the admission coordinator promptly.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled, and within resident reach.
• Undertake other related duties as directed by supervisors.
