Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under the direction of supervising staff, ensuring high-quality resident care at all times.

The role requires a valid CNA license, 6 months of CNA experience or clinical CNA exposure, and strong communication skills in English. The CNA must be patient, empathetic and able to work well within a healthcare team to support ill and elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Must possess a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• At least 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical CNA experience.
• Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Be in good general health with emotional stability.
• Able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly and sometimes hostile individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals to ensure correct patient care.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator immediately.
• Make beds and clean bedside/overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled and reachable.
• Fulfill other related duties as directed by supervisors.
