Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support licensed nursing staff in providing patient care and maintaining a clean, safe unit environment. Under supervision, you will perform routine duties and follow established standards and hospital philosophy.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification (or completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program), and any nursing clinical experience. BLS must be obtained within 30 days. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification and/or Carle's HCT In Training Program completion.
• Nursing clinical experience and prior CNA work within past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Answer lights and telephone with good guest relations.
• Transport patients to other units/departments.
• Pass trays and ice; maintain clean linens on patient beds and rooms.
• Assist in admissions, transfers and discharge processes and prepare rooms for admits and post-op patients.
• Obtain intake and output and document in patient records.
