Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff in providing patient care. Under supervision, you will perform routine duties to aid treatment, care, and daily unit operations in CRMH.

The role emphasizes adherence to established standards and Carle Health philosophy. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, CNA credentials, BLS within 30 days, and completion of Carle’s HCT In Training Program or related nursing training.

Qualifications

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
High school diploma or GED required.
CNA coursework completed within past 24 months.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
At least one semester of nursing clinical experience; CNA work in last 24 months.

Responsibilities

Answer lights and telephone with good guest relations.
Pass trays and ice; Transport patients to other units/departments.
Change ice bags; maintain clean linens on patients’ bed and person; keep rooms clean.
Assist admissions, transfers and discharge process and setup for admits/postop patients.
Record intake/output and document in patient records; assist with turning/repositioning.
Assist with Foley catheter care and collect specimens; perform bedside reporting.
