Job summary

Carle Health is seeking nursing assistants to support Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses in patient care at our Peoria, IL facilities. You will perform delegated patient care tasks, maintain hygiene and comfort, assist with feeding and mobility, and help with admissions, discharges, and daily unit maintenance.

Requires BLS within 30 days, HS diploma or GED, CNA coursework or certification, and nursing clinical experience. Prior CNA work in the past 24 months is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• CNA coursework completed within past 24 months.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• At least one nursing clinical experience.
• CNA work within past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities as delegated by the nurse.
• Provides hygiene needs of assigned patients.
• Distributes meals and assists with feeding.
• Records intake and output; monitors vitals.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Maintains a clean and safe patient environment.
• Responds promptly to call lights and patient requests.
• Explains procedures to patients and families.
