Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Health Care Technician (HCT) to support licensed nursing staff under the RN supervisor. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, data collection, vital signs, glucose monitoring, and documentation.

You will help stock supplies, prepare patients for transport, and perform delegated tasks in coordination with the RN. The role requires BLS within 30 days, completion of a Nurse Assistant program or CNA credentials, and prior CNA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Certificate of Completion: Nurse Assistant or equivalent.
• One semester of nursing clinical experience preferred; CNA experience within past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with unit supplies and inventory to support patient care.
• Collect data on patients and document accurately.
• Demonstrate competency in vital signs, glucose monitoring, and intake/output.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient transportation.
• Perform delegated tasks and report abnormal findings to RN.
