Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant adjunct to support Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses in patient care. You will perform assigned care tasks, support unit maintenance, and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role requires CNA certification, HS diploma or GED, and BLS within 30 days. Experience as CNA and completion of Carle's training program are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification required.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Completion of CNA coursework within past 24 months.
• At least one nursing clinical experience.
• Worked as CNA within past 24 months.
• Successful completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, skin care, and comfort.
• Assist with activity needs and mobility per patient plan.
• Perform basic patient measurements and documentation under nurse supervision.
• Assist with admission, transfer, discharge and room setup.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment.
• Respond promptly to call lights and communicate patient needs to the nurse.
