Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated CNA/Direct Care Giver to assist residents with daily living activities and to support their independence. You will follow care plans, document accurately, and communicate with nursing staff, families, and other team members.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, activities, and mobility, while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct. A CPR/First Aid certification and the ability to work weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current CNA license from the state where the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Well organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Contributes to nursing team and follows supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or supervisor and document appropriately.
• Perform housekeeping tasks in resident areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency alerts.
• Remain calm and competent during emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Follow confidentiality policies for resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining and activities, and monitor attendance.
• Document resident status and changes in the Daily Log and clinical record; notify family as directed.
• Support new residents during move-in and provide emotional support.
