UNC Health Medical Group in Lumberton, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant I, Certified to provide routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic setting. You will work under clinical supervision of the provider and under management direction for non-clinical tasks.

The role includes rooming patients, collecting vital signs, assisting with procedures, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and patient education. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualificações

• Completion of a Medical Assisting program is strongly preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant certification by AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/NCMA is required.

Responsabilidades

• Rooming and intake including vital signs and reason for visit.
• Collect patient history and current medications.
• Review allergies and preferred pharmacy.
• Assist provider during treatments and procedures.
• Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy.
• Administer medications under provider direction.
• Conduct tests such as EKG or eye exams.
• Review records for routine health screenings.
• Prepare, stock, and maintain exam rooms and supplies.
• Provide after-visit and self-care instructions to patients.
• Assist with registration, scheduling, and referrals.
• Answer clinic calls and manage inbox.
• Assist in emergencies as directed.
