Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to provide routine daily care to residents in a respectful and compassionate manner, following assessment and service plans. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, transfers, and participate in activities while observing resident conditions and reporting changes to supervising nurses.

Ideal candidates will have state/federal eligibility and at least 6 months of caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, or long‑term care settings.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Prefer 6 months or more of experience in a home care, assisted living, or long‑term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and mobility.
• Assist with moving and transferring residents into and out of bed, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Communicate appropriate information (including incident reports information) and any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed.
• Encourage residents to socialize and participate in scheduled activities and outings and assist with those activities as needed.
• Respond promptly and courteously to all resident alerts, needs and/or requests for care, and provide assistance with care as needed.
• Observe emotional condition of each resident, promptly reporting all changes to the nurse.
• Follow and promote personal safety precautions and a safe environment for residents by observing infection control practices, following facility guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the nurse or management.
• Check each resident per service schedule to ensure that his/her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his/her wishes.
• Ensure resident safety by assisting in the performance of fire or other safety drills.
• Perform other essential job-related duties as assigned.
