Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC in Portland, Oregon seeks a compassionate Caregiver to provide routine daily care to residents in accordance with the assessment and service plan.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility and transfers, encourage participation in activities, observe residents for changes, report to the nurse, and maintain a safe, clean environment following infection control guidelines and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Prefer 6 months or more of experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Assist with moving and transferring residents using safe techniques.
• Communicate changes and incident information to a supervisor promptly.
• Encourage social participation and assist with scheduled activities and outings.
• Observe resident condition and report changes to the nurse; follow infection control practices.
• Ensure safety during drills and maintain a safe environment; complete other duties as assigned.
