Job summary

Stowers Machinery Corporation in East Tennessee seeks a Compact Construction Equipment Sales Representative to sell new and used Caterpillar equipment within an assigned territory, delivering customer-focused solutions and helping grow a respected dealer.

You will manage a portfolio, build relationships, and collaborate with operations, parts and service teams to ensure exceptional customer service and reliable follow-through.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in equipment or B2B environments.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio and active pipeline of current and prospective customers.
• Achieve sales goals for territory growth, market share, and new customer acquisition.
• Actively prospect and cold call to develop new business.
• Maintain strong product knowledge across Caterpillar and allied equipment offerings.
• Provide solutions tailored to customer needs, including finance, service, and technology options.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service and follow-through.
• Track activity and opportunities using Salesforce CRM.
