Ohio Cat, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to specialize in new and used Caterpillar construction equipment and related services. The role focuses on strategic territory management, customer relationships, and value-driven transactions across multiple accounts.

The position requires at least 5 years in construction equipment sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction equipment industry is required, with experience with Caterpillar equipment preferred.
• Must live within proximity to the territory covered.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong sales aptitude and customer service orientation, including strong follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Sell Caterpillar construction equipment, rentals, and related services.
• Manage territory through strategic planning and execution.
• Build customer relationships with product knowledge and business insight.
• Negotiate deals aligned with customer needs and company goals.
• Maintain records in Sales Link: leads, opportunities, and accounts.
• Prepare quotes, reports, contracts, and delivery records.
• Collaborate with factory reps and Ohio Machinery departments for mutual outcomes.
• Apply professional sales techniques to overcome objections and highlight product benefits.
• Frequent visits to jobsites and industrial sites; emphasize safety and PPE usage.
